A lot of people give me a hassle abut the fact that I am an Avon lady, while never asking why. Well yes, if I work hard, I can earn 6 figures. But that is not why I am a part of the community. I wanted to work with a company with something I could be proud to a part of. Not only is Avon the top direct sales company in 145 countries, it supports two causes that I am behind 100%. The first is the Empowerment Campaign. Reese Witherspoon is our honorary chair person, and has become the face of Empowerment, Crusade, and Minerals make-up. The campaign is to end violence against women. 100% of all empowerment sales go to support domestic violence programs

The second is the Breast Cancer Crusade. "The Avon Breast Cancer Crusade was launched in 1992 as a small pioneering program in the U.K. Avon in the U.S. adopted the Crusade the following year. Over the last 18 years, Avon philanthropy has raised and donated more than $700 million to breast cancer programs around the world, supporting cutting-edge research to find a cure for or prevent breast cancer as well as programs that enable all patients to access quality care."

So this is what I do for work. I support Breast Cancer research, Empowerment to end domestic violence, and I help recruit and train others to do what I do. I am so lucky to have a fiance who supports my choice in work as well. Yes I am still going to school to become a Music major who doesn't yet know if I want to teach or go into arts therapy, as long as Avon supports these two causes, and while they come up with more foundations to back, I will be an Avon lady as well!
