2013 Update

Hey all! So it really has been quite a while since I last posted. In December (Christmas Day), our home was robbed, which pushed our move a few days early. Then in April while we were at Supercross about 2 hours away from home, our car was stolen from a Seattle parking lot. Between that and the transition between schools, I have not been thinking about posting...However, now I am on Summer break which gives me time to share with you some of the discoveries, adventures and stories of The Clemensons year 2.

I can't believe that in just a few short months we will be celebrating our 2nd wedding anniversary! Shortly thereafter I will be graduating my first string of college. If all goes as planned I will have an Associates in Music and an AAUCT Transfer degree.

I will work on posting some photos of the things we've done over the past 6 months, but today I was really excited to share what I have found in my garden. Our new house came with an extensive garden and along with the things I know how to spot and take care of, I also found some new things to learn about.

This is what the garden looked like when we moved in. Little did I know what it would become!

Our table grapes. Thanks to YouTube I am learning to care for these. Hopefully I don't kill them!

Part of the Raspberries. They were absolutely out of control this morning... I spent an hour pruning them and picking berries today! Right above them some blackberries are growing around the tree branches. I am hoping I can get some berries down from there.

I discovered this blueberry bush today. I am  beyond excited to have fresh blueberries this season. I hope I can get the bush to grow a little bigger for next year.

I am pretty sure we found a hazelnut tree in our back yard!
We found these and after dissecting a pod decided to look around the interwebs for a clue as to what they are. From what I found I believe they are mesquite beans. That's basically exciting!

One of my favorite sauces is tomatillo sauce. I bet you can just imagine the happy dance I did when these began to grow!
Chives are used in large amounts in our home. This was a gem to find out back as well.
I've been told a few times that these are walnuts. I am beginning to believe the people who have said this.
Along with the plants pictured, we have both two different types of lillies, tons of roses, a mysterious dillesque plant, mint, rosemary, rhubarb, irises, daisies, babies breath, and a few other plants I haven't figured out the names of. Though this extensive garden is an exciting gem, it is almost a full time job to maintain. Since we rent through an agency, it's crucial that we keep up with all of the yard work on an every other day basis. I always wanted a huge garden, and now I understand why people hire gardeners!

Here are some more photos from the gardens this year.

August Photos Update

Hey everyone! I am getting ready to finish up summer quarter and move into Fall of my sophomore year! Woo!! I cannot wait to start back on campus. Summer has been a great challenge, but I don't think I enjoy solely taking classes online.

That being said, here are this months pictures!

We picked up some parts for one of Patrick's friends. Patrick was asking a bunch of our friends from the track if they could help because they were heavy axles, and the guys has the bright idea of using their tow truck instead. Muscles and backs were definitely saved here!

This is how we occasionally spend our Saturdays. The sprint driver is our friend Eric Fisher and the push truck is our friend Larry and his wife Jill.

This is where I often watch the races from.

Updated photo of me and the "kids" the kitty is Satchimo, the dog in the middle is Peanut and the dog in the front is Buddy.

This is an old picture so I may have posted it up already. We were playing pool with some of Patricks co-workers.

I recently attended a bachelorette party for one of my bridesmaids who is now getting married. Shes the one in front. I am hiding, can you see me? (I didn't dress up in a tutu like everyone else...)

I put my toes in. Still ice cold!

View on our way home

We stopped at the hydropower project. There was a tiny little town where most of the houses were boarded up. Anyone who has seen the movie "The Hills Have Eyes" knows my anxiety while we were stopped there. We were able to get this awesome picture though.

This was a waterfall across from the lookout point we stopped at on our way home

OH GEEZ! 2012 2/3 GONE!

Its coming up on August and that means that 2012 is about 2/3 gone! How did time fly so fast? I am sooo sorry I haven't been on here much to update, and I really do mean to get better about regular updates. I finally have some spare time on my hands with summer "vacation" (really, I just got into a routine with summer quarter).

School Update - Music Therapy is a possible back burner. I am deciding if I want to spend school weeks on campus out of town, and trying to find a distance ed opportunity for the program. I haven't dug deep just yet. I have 2 more years of community college once I transfer into Skagit. The program I am entering will transfer me straight into Western for my bachelors in music where I can get a Music Ed degree - which is a possibility I have considered from day 1.

Pictures!!

New family addition. Satchimo Colby Jack Macaroni and Cheese.

Babycat likes to help with my homework. Sometimes his version of helping is sleeping on my homework...sometimes it is eating it, literally...

Peanut likes to help during homework time too.

My friend Chelsea married our friend Jeremy last month. Chelsea and her mom Riki were like a second family to me when I was still settling into the Snohomish county area, and they still are. I am beyond proud of her, and we are super excited for her and Jerm to be starting a wonderful journey in life together. Chels was an amazingly beautiful bride! CONGRATS!

This is the lighthouse in Westport by Jerm and Chels's wedding venue

We ventured out to the beach to check it out. It was extremely muggy the whole weekend so though it looks cold - we were super warm.

We stopped at Lake Sylvia on our way home from Westport. It is a beautiful place, and we would love to cam

Earlier in June we went to another wedding for our friends Kirstee and Trevor. This summer has just been jam packed full of weddings for us!

My friend Jade and I on Camano Island

This is my best friend on the planet Laura an I. We have known each other going on 21 years, and she is more of a sister to me than anything. We went camping earlier this month, for the first time in years - something we used to do together with here family every July growing up. It was probably the most fun 3 days I have had in ages and I am looking forward to doing it again next summer!

This isnt the best picture, but it is from the top of Baker Dam. This is the first time we have seen the gates wide open like this and it was AMAZING to see.

Patrick and I hit up the Bite of Seattle this last weekend. Though my favorite Filipino stand wasn't there this year, we were able to try some amazing new places including an Indian place, a New Orleans grill (Patrick ate ALLIGATOR!) and I managed to find my beloved MACARONI BITES! - that is what I am saying in this picture! MACARONI!!!!

I have been getting a ton of compliments on this snapshot I took while I was literally waiting for Patrick to get into the truck. As you can see here there have been a few changes! I lightened a layer of my hair and got a funky razor haircut as well as my long anticipated and super awesome music bird tattoo! I am so excited to have something that represents who I am and what I love added to my tiny tattoo collection.

Well, That is all I have for now. I am sure there are TONS more photos on Patricks computer, but as I got my very own laptop for my birthday this year, of course I am out and about - well really I am taking care of a friend post surgery - so I will have to add those later!

Have a great day!!
