The Ring

I thought I would tell you all the story behind my engagement ring
First of all, it is my birthstone and it is shaped like a heart with a white gold band.
Now the fun part. At the time he started planning all of this out, my best friend (at the time) was engaged as well. She told me that her fiancé wanted her to go pick out her ring and she really needed me to come with her for support since she really wasn't into this girly-wedding stuff. So of course, me being the friend that I am, went with. I also took the opportunity to look at all of the pretty jewelry and fantasize about my day...one day...in the distant future. She told me she was having the hardest time with what she might want and asked my opinion. I told her that if it were me, I would pick something I would want to look at every day for the rest of my life. Something different. Something me. Then I pointed to a beautiful white gold ring with a purple amethyst heart. This ring. Which Patrick asked Kari to take me and pick out.
Sneaky little punks!

Bridal Shower Gifts in Motion ;)

So I have finally gotten some time to get into my new presents :) Keep on eye on this post I am going to put pictures of my gifts as I use them...and tell stories about discoveries I make while breaking it all in hehe

1.) Do NOT put foot soak into a foot bath that has bubble jets!

Though there were bubbles everywhere, this is an extremely functional and well thought out gift. Kudos Missy! My feet have never been happier!

2.) I may not have a library but at least my reading corner looks like one!

The lamp from Frank and Terri fits AMAZINGLY in my little book corner. Now if only my books fit better... (most of the shelves are 2 deep!)

Sandwich press from Aunt Peggy. Made a delicious grilled cheese to go with my chicken soup. I used to have one of these when I was little and forgot how much I loved it!! :)

The Knot Dot Com

One of the best pieces of advice I received right after getting engaged was to sign up with theknot.com. If I did not have this tool I do not know where on earth I would be. According to the site I am behind in my wedding planning, but if it wasn't for all of the tools available through there, I don't think I would be as close to where I should be as I am. Anyone getting engaged let me tell you - you don't need magazines, or a wedding book Just a vendor workbook and theknot.com.

For anyone who wants to see our website through there here is the link:
